Not only is this in keeping with our vision of sustainable development; it also reflects society’s growing concern with preserving a livable earth for future generations.We expect active support from our suppliers in this effort, and we expect them to abide by all of the laws and regulations governing environmental and consumer protection. 

So that our customers can count on such compliance, we require a declaration of conformity from all of our suppliers. That declaration encompasses Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic equipment (RoHS). Further information on this regulation and its amendments can be found on the website of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. In our own interest and that of our customers, and to ensure that our products are environmentally friendly, we also monitor the implementation of the REACH regulation. We maintain close contact with our suppliers to ensure that they refrain from using the substances, compounds and products identified as hazardous in this regulation. The SVHC list which is updated on a regular basis, as well as additional information about the REACH regulation can be found at REACH Helpdesk. 

If you are interested in being one of our suppliers, please confirm that you comply with these requirements by returning to us a signed copy of the specifications and conformity declarations and declaring that you abide by the valid version of the relevant statutory provisions. In addition to the EU requirements, this declaration also includes other limitations on certain materials. This allows us, as an internationally active company, to be in compliance with laws valid outside the EU such as the American standard CPSIA. 

In order to verify the information provided by our suppliers, we work with certified laboratories and carry out our own tests to determine whether heavy metal contamination is present. Before using special materials we purchase, such as certain dyes, synthetics and packaging materials, we make sure that they are in keeping with statutory requirements.
