Electronic Arts (EA), one of the leading developers and publishers of computer and consoles games worldwide, has further developed the cooperation with arvato entertainment Europe in 2011.
For many years the American enterprise, which publishes such successful series like »FIFA«, »NBA«, »Sims« or »Battlefield«, has belonged to the key accounts in the Games segment. Since the middle of the 1990s, the enterprise group has replicated games in different formats for the worldwide player at its headquarters in Gütersloh. In 1999 the production of Electronic Arts products started also at the Spanish site in Coslada, near Madrid. Over the last years the cooperation was deepened and expanded to new areas. In 2009, the business was expanded on the site in the Russian Jaroslawl which manufactures and delivers EA games. Also in Australia, the arvato profit centre near Sydney has been supplying EA products for the regional market since 2007.
In 2009 another milestone followed in the cooperation: Electronic Arts entrusted arvato Entertainment Europe with the distribution of its products, first for Germany, Austria, Benelux, the Nordic states, the East European countries as well as the export regions like Greece. Distribution is processed through the logistics centre Halle 17. In 2010 the delivery of EA products was taken over by arvato services Spain for the countries Spain and Portugal. »This year the distribution could be won for France and Italy«, explained Götz Groebler, Director Business Development.
Decisive for the further extension of business are the close and well co-ordinated cooperation as well as the inter-divisional and transnational solutions which arvato entertainment Europe realises and develops steadily for Electronic Arts. These factors were also decisive in awarding the EA sales order administration management for the three regions Germany/Austria, Benelux and the Nordic countries to arvato Entertainment Europe team in the middle of this year.
In close coordination with Electronic Arts, arvato Entertainment Europe takes over – under integration of the different distribution locations – all services from the replication up to the delivery of varies products in almost all countries of Europe. The large volume orders of »Battlefield 3« and »FIFA 12« which were delivered during the last weeks partly with large-size displays are exemplary for it.
