			<content:encoded><![CDATA[Munich, April 25, 2012 – arvato Entertainment Europe, and Fidor Payment Services GmbH have concluded an exclusive sales partnership agreement. Both companies will now sell the FidelisPay content-monetization and e-money payment system worldwide. The system was developed jointly by the companies along with Fidor Bank. The system is tailored specifically to the needs of merchants in the digital entertainment market, making it an ideal addition to the existing digital supply chain of arvato Entertainment Europe, which consists of shop systems, backend services, customer care solutions, archiving services and systems for delivering digital content.
Innovative concepts for monetizing content and secure, cost-effective payment schemes that can be used worldwide are becoming increasingly important, especially in the entertainment sector, where growth is outpacing the market. The market in digital goods is characterized by consistent annual sales growth rates of more than 20%. According to a study by InStat, a United States market research firm, worldwide volume will amount to more than $ 15 billion in 2014.
Game publishers and developers have responded eagerly to the ability of FidelisPay to offer credit-based “in-game wallets,” since the Fidelis wallet technology can manage both real currencies and virtual currencies for specific games. The FidelisPay wallet system can be used for quick payment for digital merchandise during a game as well as for Gamer2Gamer and P2P transactions. The British Film Institute (BFI) has signed a long-term framework contract with the global media service provider arvato Entertainment Europe for the provision of scanning and digital restoration services for content held in their archive. The National Archive of BPI contains one of the most significant collections of film and television heritage resources in the world.
Established in 1933, the BFI National Archive and its related collections comprise the whole history of British film and television production, all aspects of the life and history of Britain as captured on film and an internationally-renowned collection of world cinema. It contains 60,000 fiction film titles, on all gauges of film and formats, from 1895 to the present day. Beyond that 120,000 non-fiction titles, 700,000 British television programmes, 20,000 unpublished film scripts, five million photos, 25,000 film posters, 25,000 press books and other items such as programmes, tickets, autographed letters, promotional materials, personal memorabilia and company papers. It also contains recordings of the proceedings of the two Houses of Parliament.
“The BFI wanted to make its moving image collection available to audiences through the widest range of platforms and technologies and arvato fully understands the care and expertise needed to deliver this goal not only today but for all future generations”, explained Bob Nichol, Business Development Manager at arvato Entertainment Europe. The Digitisation &amp; Media Archiving Services team of the company around Kelvin White, Director Business Development, began the tender process in August 2011 and developed an end-to-end solution for the BFI.

With this agreement another major content owner has elected to use arvato Entertainment Europe’s comprehensive archiving and digitization services.
Jörg Pollmeyer, Vice President Audio Sales &amp; Customer Services at arvato Entertainment Europe explains, with respect to this important agreement and the services range expansion, “With these broad archiving and digital distribution services the long-term cooperation with Reader´s Digest reaches a new dimension”. For several decades the global media service company has been manufacturing physical music products for Reader’s Digest companies across the world; with this new agreement that association is taken into the digital age.
arvato Entertainment Europe is now entrusted with the digital archiving of the Reader´s Digest music catalogue - some 20,000 recordings - , the preparation for different digital formats and the digital distribution of content to the Apple iTunes Store, digital aggregator The Orchard and other DSPs. “The agreement also includes the provision of digital content internally for Reader´s Digest companies as well as mastering services – collating different titles for album compilations – and uploading the associated metadata”, says Wolfgang Martens, Director Digitisation &amp; Media Archiving Services. “The agreement allows us to bundle different services from one source, thus simplifying many subsequent processes.”

Target group oriented motifs and menu points guide the user to the different sections and categories. The six central subject areas indicated in the horizontally positioned bar provide information about the group of companies, business sectors, services, locations, career opportunities and customer service. A click on any of these areas, for example the area of &quot;Services&quot;, provides the user with further information on the cross-sector and transnational offers of arvato Entertainment Europe covering the spectrum of anti piracy-solutions, media asset services, comprehensive services for physical products to e-commerce and retail solutions. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[The move of the warehouse from its current Technicolor site in Venray, Netherlands to Gütersloh is scheduled for completion by March of next year. Technicolor will continue to handle the distribution processes for Disney’s Home Entertainment business after the move. Disney’s Home Entertainment range includes such video classics as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and The Lion King. The contract provides medium-term security for more than 70 jobs at arvato in Gütersloh.
Peter Steil, Executive Director Operations at The Walt Disney Company Deutschland, has high hopes for the collaboration: “arvato Entertainment Europe puts a strong partner at our side, with comprehensive experience in the German market.
